Three major developments in Canada
L-R: Bob Jacques, Phil Lo, Mark Harvey, and Simon Taylor,
at the Toronto Franchise & Business Exhibition.
VIP expands to whole of Canada During a visit from Mark Harvey (MD, VIP UK) in September 2010 to attend the Toronto Franchise & Business Opportunities Show, in which VIP Ontario participated, a proposal to expand the master licence agreement by purchasing the VIP Bin Cleaning rights to the rest of Canada was agreed upon.
Bob Jacques, the original master licence holder for Ontario, and Simon Taylor have joined forces with a group of investors, all of whom bring valuable and related experience to drive the Canadian business, to create VIP Bin Cleaning Canada.
The investment group consists of Matt Shaw, Phil Lo and Harv Chapple. Matt Shaw is the President of Shaco Enterprises Limited, a software development company specializing in franchise operations including Weed Man. Matt is also an entrepreneur with interests in the transportation industry and the education fields.
Phil Lo operates large Weed Man Franchises in both Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta. Phil has a chemical engineering background and is an IT expert. For over twenty years, Harv owned and operated the Weed Man dealership in Courtenay British Columbia. He sold that franchise and shortly thereafter purchased the Weed Man dealership In Kelowna British Columbia. Harv is an award winning dealer and we are excited to welcome him to the team.
Partnership in Ontario
Simon Taylor, new partner in Ontario.
In June 2010 Simon Taylor became a partner in VIP Bin Cleaning Ontario. Simon was introduced to Bob Jacques by Matt Shaw of Shaco Enterprises Limited while developing VIPware software for Canada.
Simon started his career with the Weed Man head office where he was responsible for seminar planning, materials procurement, franchise training programs and brand marketing. Simon currently owns and operates a nine truck Weed Man lawn care franchise in Regina, Saskatchewan.
After having grown his market from three to twelve percent market penetration in six years, Simon returned to live in Burlington, Ontario and continues to operate his Regina operation remotely.
In addition to experience in software application, Simon brings to VIP experience in franchising as well as knowledge of the many synergies that are apparent between the bin cleaning and lawn care industries.
Commercial success
The Initial reaction to the company in particularly by major waste companies and school boards within the region has been very positive and VIP Bin Cleaning Canada has achieved some fantastic milestones with large contracts being awarded as well as other commercial contracts in the pipeline.

The build
took 3 months to complete - this
was to take into consideration the
